'코로나19' 청정지역으로 알려졌던 전남 여수에서 9개월 만에 4명의 확진자가 무더기로 발생해 주의가 요구된다.

8일 여수시에 따르면 여수에 거주하는 광주517번 확진자와 접촉한 여동생(전남192번·여수14번)과 어머니(전남193번·여수15번), 직장동료 1명(전남195번·여수16번)이 확진판정을 받았다.

전날에는 미국에서 입국한 일본 국적의 60대(전남191번·여수13번)가 확진 판정을 받아 이들 모두 순천의료원으로 이송돼 치료를 받고 있다.

이로써 올해 초 코로나19가 창궐한 이래 여수지역의 누적 확진자는 총 16명으로 늘어났다.

보건당국은 여수에 거주하는 광주517번 확진자는 이달 4·5일 여수 자택에서 순천시 연향동의 모 은행으로 출퇴근했고 6일 광주에서 건강검진을 받는 과정에서 코로나19 진단을 받았다.

이후 광주 517번과 접촉한 광주518번과 전남194번(순천74번) 등 직장동료 3명이 확진판정을 받아 은행발 확진자는 모두 6명으로 늘었다.

또 517번의 가족 중에 여수에 거주하는 여동생(전남 192번)과 모친(전남 193번)이 감염됐고 한명의 지역사회 감염자는 157번 확진자 직장동료로 파악되고 있다.
